What is BristolVGE?
BristolVGE stands for Bristol Video Games Expo which has been created by two friends James & Alex to bring gaming communities together for an action packed event to enjoy gaming and beyond.
The list of groups, devs, traders and guests have been chosen in an attempt to keep it local and to help support local traders and to build the awareness of local community groups.

Cancellation and Refunds
Tickets for the Bristol Video Games Expo are non-refundable and non-transferable and cannot be reproduced, resold.
In the event that the Bristol Video Games Expo is cancelled, you'll automatically receive a full refund - no further action required. However, if the Bristol Video Games Expo occurs as planned, our traditional no refund policy stands.
Why Bristol?
For many years Bristol has seen a decline in the events/gaming markets, so our mission is to rejuvenate the gaming scene in the south and Bristol is the perfect place for VGE events to branch out. Bristol is filled with a vibrant scene of developers and gamers alike. We hope that with our partners Debug (teamdebug.com) we can bring the scene back in a big way.
How do I get to the entrance of the BristolVGE?
This year's Bristol Video Games Expo is located at Hengrove Leisure Centre, when you arrive go straight to the entrance of the Leisure Centre. From there, you'll see a BristolVGE info desk and a memeber of the BristolVGE team will be waiting to scan your ticket, they will prove you with your all day event wristband.
Who will be at the event?
The line-up is changing all the time with game developers, traders and groups, you can keep up to date with all the news and announcements via our social platforms or on the main page of our website.
What time does it start?
Early Access VIP ticket holder admission from 10am
General Admission from 11am
Upon arrival we will scan your ticket/QR Code then provide you with a wristband, here you will be shown directions to the main hall where a member of our team/volunteer will check your wristband for you to gain entry. Wristbands must be worn at all times for the Bristol Video Games Expo.
Doors close at 5pm
Do I have to wear a face mask/covering at BristolVGE?
Government guidance suggests that people should continue to wear face coverings in crowded and enclosed spaces. This suggestion is not enforceable. You can find further information on the Gov.uk website.
I've tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19) Can I still attend BristolVGE
A positive test result for coronavirus (COVID-19) means it's very likely you had COVID-19 when the test was done. You should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 5 days after the day you took the test. You can find further information here.
Is there free WiFi?
There is free venue Wi-Fi (coverage does vary throughout)
Can I buy games from BristolVGE?
Yes, there will be traders selling all sorts of items from the world of gaming and beyond, including Dream Consoles, Light Gun Retro Games, Sore Thumb Retro Games and more!
Will the games be free to play in the Gaming Area? Tournaments Information
Yes, prototype development systems will be provided by Computer Nostalgia Heaven. There will be the indie devs showcasing their games in the Debug Indie Lounge Area plus Nintendo Bristol will be near the trader area in the main hall area with their Mario Kart tournaments throughout the day. We'll also be hosting an 8 person Quake 3 LAN (PC) and 8 Person Minecraft LAN (PC) throughout the day. All for FREE with a standard ticket purchase.
Donut Dodo and Street Fighter 2 Tournaments are indeed also free to take part in - All you need to do is sign up at the main stage just before the tournament takes place. Winners of the Donut Dodo tournament will win a Donut Dodo T-shirt (details of the winner will be taken and the winner will be shipped the tshirt - Winner of the SF2 tournament
Will there be somewhere to get food & drink?
There will be a food/drinks vendor at the entrance of the building itself, serving hot and cold drinks/snacks throughout the day. As well as this, if you fancy the likes of a Starbucks coffee, then there is a Starbucks located directly across from the venue itself, along with a Tesco Express for all other requirements.

ACCESSIBILITY - Is the venue accessible for wheelchair users?
Yes, The Hengrove Leisure Centre is fully accessible, there is a lift to reach the entrance of expo hall plus there are no steps/stairs throughout the venue location making it fully accessible.
ACCESSIBILITY - Required supporting documents for free carer ticket
Guests who have the following documentation are entitled to one free carer ticket. However, the guest with the disability and any further members of their party will pay full price. Currently free carer tickets are not listed on our booking website and these queries will need to be dealt with by our team using the contact the organiser button on Eventbrite. When sending us an message please provide us with the Eventbrite ticket order number of the full paid ticket holder and please provide the relevant paperwork (via attachment) as well as suitable photo ID of the named recipient. For proof of disability, please attach any ONE of the following forms from the list below.
Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance for children under 16 or DLA/Personal Independent Payments (PIP) for those aged 16-64, either in the form of a letter stating that the benefit has been awarded, or the actual Allowance book.
Attendance Allowance or Carer's Allowance letter of award.
Incapacity Benefit books, or a letter notifying the recipient that the benefit has been awarded Incapacity Benefit, Employment Support Allowance (ESA). Disability Student's Allowance (DSA) or DID card (UK Disabled ID Card)
A valid Blue Badge.
In the case of visual impairment, a registration card known as the BD8 or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI).
Credibility’s Access Card with the carer/companion symbol.
We will then being processing your request and if successful we'll provide a complimentary ticket for the carer, the ticket will be sent via email and the ticket QR code can be scanned by our team arrival - please make sure you provide us with the correct email address you would like this ticket sent to.

Is the event taking place in a ULEZ, Clean Air Zone?
The event itself takes place just out of central Bristol, meaning it's not included in the Clean Air Zone.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes, we will offer this option by card payments. There will be tickets available on the door, but levels in the venue will be monitored throughout to avoid any safety concerns.
Can I purchase tickets from other sources? (Facebook etc)
Tickets are being sold on Eventbrite only - please do not purchase tickets from other sources/websites. This even includes if people state they are unable to attend to try and sell their tickets - If you have purchased tickets from other sources, if the ticket QR code has already been scanned on entry, any additional attempts to scan the ticket QR code will be refused. Each ticket(s) sold will have a QR which relates to that order of ticket(s) only.
Does a Child (Up to 15yrs) need to be accompanied by an adult?
Yes, Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Is there car parking at the UWE Centre for Sport?

Are there toilet facilities inside the venue?
Yes, the Hengrove Leisure Centre does have toilet facilities. These are located near the entrance to the main hall area.
